We begin instructing our riders in a basic balanced seat position with safety and security being our primary goals. As they continue to develop as riders they are able to specialize in either hunt seat or saddle seat. We offer beginning through advanced lessons, and have a variety of skill levels running at all times. Individuals who have riding experience will be scheduled for an evaluation time, to enable us to best place you in our program. In addition to riding skills, we believe it is important for our students to learn basic horsemanship. With this in mind, a portion of the lesson time will be dedicated to grooming and tacking up the horses as well as general horse care. Small group lessons are available to individuals aged eight and over. Group lessons allow the rider to benefit from watching as well as doing, as well as providing a sense of camaraderie. Group lessons are an hour long and offered at various times during the week. We offer a Tiny Tot Program for students aged three to seven. In this program, students receive private lessons which emphasize safety and fun. The individual setting ensures safety for our youngest riders. Private lessons are also available as scheduling permits. Private lessons offer students an opportunity for focused learning with individual, one on one attention. OUR HORSES The horses are the backbone of our lesson program. We have a wonderful group of purebred Arabian & Half-Arabian school horses that we use. They have been selected for their willing dispositions. Many of these horses are current or former show horses. They are well cared for and well loved. Carrots, though not required, are always appreciated by your four legged friends as a reward for a job well done! SAFETYSafety is our primary concern. All riders are required to wear riding helmets with attached harness at all times when mounted. In addition, long pants and shoes with a hard sole and a ½” heel are required. No sneakers are allowed! CANCELLATION POLICYWe
require 24 hours notice to cancel lessons. If you fail to provide
24 hours notice you will be charged for the lesson. We have
a voice mail system that is checked at 8:00 am every morning, as long
as you cancel prior to 8:00 am you will NOT be charged for the lesson.
